Pyrkon 2025: Poland’s Largest Fantasy Festival Returns to the MTP Poznań EXPO

Bonnie Wright, the actress who rose to global fame as Ginny Weasley in Harry Potter, will be one of the biggest stars of this year’s Pyrkon Fantasy Festival – joining over 280 invited guests. From June 13–15, participants can look forward to more than 2,200 events including panels, concerts, lectures, contests, and meet & greets.

The music lineup features concerts by Gloryhammer, Studio Accantus, Percival Schuttenbach, and Japanese stars ClariS and Centimillimental. A highlight will be “The Witcher: Music of the Continent”, celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, performed live by an orchestra together with Percival.

Other special guests include: Denis Lawson (Wedge Antilles, Star Wars), Mark Sheppard (Supernatural), Tim Downie (Baldur’s Gate III), Victoria Holmes (author of Warriors), and Polish actor Michał Żebrowski. Gamers will also enjoy meetings with the Polish voice actors behind The Witcher 3: Jacek Rozenek, Beata Jewiarz, and Agnieszka Kunikowska.

The festival will feature nearly 20 themed zones – including science, literature, gaming, cosplay, film & TV, and comics. In the Exhibitors’ Zone, visitors will find gadgets, books, comics, and one-of-a-kind artisan creations.

One of the most spectacular moments will be the cosplay competition Maskarada – the Polish eliminations for the Extreme Cosplay Gathering World Championships in Paris – where contestants present hand-made costumes and live stage performances.

Pyrkon 2025 marks the 25th anniversary edition of the festival. What began in 2000 as a small convention in a Poznań elementary school has since grown into Poland’s largest event of its kind, and one of the biggest in Europe. In 2024, it drew more than 58,000 attendees. This year’s edition will once again take place at the MTP Poznań EXPO, filling 12 pavilions.
