Across Half of Poland by Combine, All to Help

The longest and most unusual journey of the season was made by the Bizon Z056, an iconic grain harvester. It set off on September 10 from the Kraków area and covered more than 400 kilometers to Poznań under its own power, even though its average speed is 15 to 20 km/h and its fuel consumption reaches 50 liters per 100 kilometers. Behind the wheel sat Grzesiek from the Talary Adventure Garage crew, and you'll find the machine at the stand of online creator Jarzyna Film.

The expedition has a charitable purpose. The crew is raising 100,000 złoty for a new home for 65-year-old Mr. Piotr, who is the sole caregiver for his disabled wife and daughter. They covered the travel costs out of their own pockets, so the entire sum raised will go to the family, and the fundraiser is running on the zrzutka.pl and pomagam.pl platforms. This same Bizon already has the 2025 Rajd Koguta rally under its belt.

Elvis's Car and an Automobile Shipped in a Crate

One of the stars of this year's edition will be a 1972 Stutz Blackhawk, a neoclassical luxury car designed by Virgil Exner, on which Italian craftsmen spent more than 1,500 hours. The body was covered with 22 coats of paint, and the interior was finished in Connolly leather, exotic wood, and 24-karat gold accents. The very first buyer of this model in history was Elvis Presley himself, and it was also driven by Frank Sinatra and the Shah of Iran. The example shown in Poznań, however, had a different owner—the eminent American painter Andrew Wyeth—and after restoration it will become part of the first exhibition of his work in Central Europe.

Bemot Classic, in turn, will present a 1906 Sears Motor Buggy—a car from a mail-order catalog. The American retail giant Sears delivered them to rural customers in wooden crates for self-assembly.

Four Rarities and a Collector's Debut

Making his Poznań debut is Piotr Życzyński, a collector through whose hands more than a thousand vintage cars have passed. His House of Classics garage is bringing four rare gems. The largest is a 1916 Simplex Crane Model 5, known as the American Rolls-Royce, with a nine-liter, 110-horsepower engine. It is one of only three examples in Europe, and Jay Leno has a twin model in his collection. Beside it will stand a 1972 De Tomaso Pantera with an engine straight out of a Mustang, a Maserati Khamsin designed by Marcello Gandini and produced in just 430 units, and a Porsche 911T in the iconic Bahama Yellow color.

Ninety Years of the Beetle and Half a Century of the Porsche Transaxle

The fair's anniversary coincides with milestone anniversaries for two motoring icons. Pavilion 5A will host a zone dedicated to 90 years of the Volkswagen Beetle. Alongside it, Porsche Club Polska—the country's only authorized club for the brand—will mark the 50th anniversary of the Transaxle series with a full cross-section of models featuring a front engine and a rear-axle transmission, from the pioneering 924 of 1976 to the flagship 928.

Drifting, Burning Rubber, and a Ride Sideways

Marek Square will host the Stunt Wars Poland zone. Those who are game can climb aboard the Drift Taxi as passengers and take a ride in a controlled slide alongside Polish Semi-Pro-class champion Patryk Detmer and Marta Pawłocka in a rare Chrysler Crossfire. Next to it will be an exhibition of drifting icons, including the Nissan 200SX, the Toyota Supra, and the legendary Toyota AE86, the car that started the sport. For fans of smaller machines, there's a Sidro Drift Kart go-kart track.

A Tattoo Mid-Drift

On Saturday, September 19, the Drift Taxi will turn into a tattoo studio on wheels. Jarek Kowalczyk, a tattoo artist known as Buszi Malowany, will ink a tattoo while sitting in a car sliding sideways. Behind the wheel of the purple car, which he rebuilt himself in his workshop, will be Janek Kaczurba.

A Classic for One Złoty

At the Classics Market, select, running cars will go under the hammer in an auction format starting at 1 złoty, with no reserve price. Any visitor can place a bid, and the lineup includes a Renault Dauphine Gordini, a Triumph 2500 PI, and a Borgward Isabella. This is part of Poland's largest market for cars with soul, where classics can not only be admired but also bought.

The Communist Era with a Smile, Militaria, and Special Guests

There will be no shortage of a trip back to the communist era. The Museum of Humor and Absurdity in Urad will present a militia Nysa 522 referencing the famous scene from the film Miś (Teddy Bear) and a Lublin 51 in the colors of the Polish Film Chronicle.

In Pavilion 4, the Military Property Agency will build a Military Village with a T-34/85 tank, a Soviet T-70, a Katyusha rocket launcher on a Studebaker chassis, and the iconic Willys MB. Among the guests will be Robert "Buczooo" from the Hi_5 channel, followed by nearly a million and a half people, who will bring his yellow Dodge Viper with its eight-liter V10 to Poznań.

A Stage, Dance Parties, and Fashion from a Century Ago

Throughout the weekend, the Main Stage in Pavilion 5 will combine practical knowledge, conversations, and music. There will be talks about safely buying a classic, restoration and registration for historic (yellow) license plates, charitable expeditions, and the combine journey. On Saturday, Kornelia Olkucka—the only Polish woman racing in Formula 4—will appear. Every day at 1:30 p.m., dance parties will kick off in front of the stage, and the Zmierzch Epoki (Twilight of the Era) historical reenactment group will transport visitors into the atmosphere of the Belle Époque, with fashion shows and the chance to try on period headwear.

A Decade in Numbers

Retro Motor Show started out modestly. The first standalone edition, in 2016, featured around 300 vehicles and 20,000 visitors. The following years brought rapid growth, reaching 966 vehicles in 2024 and 2025. Project director Bartosz Dembiński says the anniversary is meant to go even further: "We're putting in tremendous effort to make the anniversary edition outdo every one before it."

The tenth edition of Retro Motor Show will take place from September 18 to 20, 2026, at MTP Poznań EXPO, ul. Głogowska 10, in Pavilions 3, 3A, 4, 5, and 5A, as well as on Marek Square. The fair will be open Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are available online at tobilet.pl.
