Polish Winemaking in the Spotlight. WINO Trade Fair 2026 Begins at MTP Poznań EXPO
At MTP Poznań EXPO, one of the most important events dedicated exclusively to the domestic wine industry is beginning. Over the next three days, from March 19 to 21, Poznań will become a meeting place for leading vineyards, sommeliers, and experts in the wine tourism sector. It is an opportunity to take a closer look at how dynamically the Polish vineyard and craft production market is developing.
The WINO Trade Fair is above all a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience. The event brings together not only vineyard owners from across the country, but also cider producers and suppliers of specialized equipment necessary for the production process. The program of this year’s edition places a strong emphasis on expertise and the future of the industry. Experts and practitioners will debate, among other topics, the upcoming changes to the Act on Upbringing in Sobriety, which may significantly affect the sales and promotion model of local products.

For professionals working in the gastronomy sector, panels have been prepared focusing on building professional wine lists. Specialists will advise how to select Polish labels in order to distinguish a restaurant from the competition and realistically increase its profits. The agenda also includes lectures presenting the behind-the-scenes aspects of the sommelier profession, as well as presentations of specific vineyards that boldly compete in quality with products from traditional European wine regions.
The event is also an opportunity to gain practical skills in the field of food pairing. Guided tastings will take place in the Garden City restaurants, during which experts will explain how to match specific types of wine with particular dishes to bring out the best in them. This is key knowledge for anyone who wants to approach the culture of serving and pairing flavors in a conscious way.

Importantly for visitors, the fair offers a unique opportunity for direct contact with producers. It is the best time to learn the stories of specific vineyards, find out more about the process of grape cultivation in the Polish climate, and purchase selected products directly from winemakers. The event will run until Saturday, becoming a must-visit point for anyone following the development of Polish craftsmanship and modern agriculture.
